The public hearing held last night in Fond du Lac to discuss the proposed Highway 23 expansion between Fond du Lac and Plymouth, left every seat filled as citizens came out to learn about the expansion. The hearing was required in order to receive federal approval for the project. While those in attendance make up a small sample size of those living in the affected area, a majority of those on hand were in favor. The biggest supporters seemed to be those who live on or near the highway, as they sighted several accidents that have occurred on the stretch of state road on a daily basis.
