GM Gutekunst “Gets Some Love” From Sporting News

The Packers’ Brian Gutekunst is ranked 22nd among the N-F-L’s 32 general managers, but he still earned some praise from the creators of the list.  Gutekunst has been in the position less than a year so far.  He’s said to offer “a lot of promise” and the team’s draft looks good.  So far, he has signed cornerback Tramon Williams, defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson, offensive lineman Byron Bell and tight ends Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis during the free agent period.  He is also being praised for setting the Packers up with two first-round picks in next year’s draft while coming up with a good list of rookies this year.  Gutekunst was given an “incomplete” grade.
