The Council Chambers in Manitowoc’s City Hall will be playing host to two gatherings this evening. First the Committee of the Whole will convene at 5:30 PM, with two items on their agenda. First they will look to amend the Manitowoc Municipal Code that regulates interest rates for special assessments, followed by a discussion on the Parklet Policy and Guidelines. The Common Council will then hold their monthly meeting at 6:30 PM. They will be starting their evening with three public hearings. The first is in regards to a conditional use permit for a plumbing shop on the 1000 block of Hamilton Street. That will be followed by a proposed zoning change for a property located at 915 Memorial drive from R-2 Single Family, to a B-1 Office District. The final Public Hearing will look at proposed changes to the Manitowoc Municipal Code that regulates the definition of swimming pools, hot tubs, and spas.
