A community movement to ‘drive positive change’ in Manitowoc County has announced completion of their 4th round of Work-Group meetings in the past 2-weeks. Dean Halverson, CEO of Leede Research, explains that five targeted work-groups are taking on challenges such as: Young Worker Attraction & Retention, Changing the Conversation, Unique Downtowns, Regional Collaboration and Healthier Community. Halverson says those groups will form an ‘Action Plan’ to identify specific projects & tactics to be undertaken…as part of Vision 2022. The V-22 leadership is seeing several ‘common themes’ and areas of focus generated from the work groups, which will gather for a 5th– round of meetings in August. Eventually, leaders will form an overall Mission & Vision for Manitowoc County that would be used as a focal-point for future development. Halverson said after the August meetings V-22 will host a series of Community Summits, scheduled for September 13th at the new Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center.
