Wisconsin golfer Steve Stricker takes on a field of competitors at the U-S Open who are — in some cases — about half his age. The 51-year-old, 12-time winner on the P-G-A Tour is the second-oldest golfer in the field as the prestigious tournament at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club starts today. The Long Island course is one of the most difficult to play. Nobody is likely to finish at 16-under par as last year’s winner, Brooks Koepka, did at Erin Hills in Wisconsin. Stricker tees off at 12:36 P-M Central Time.
