The former Bay Port High School dance coach has found herself in some hot water. 31 year old Brittany Rowell is facing charges after she allegedly stole from her squad. Rowell had made several deposits that tipped school officials off that something was not right. During the investigation, Rowell admitted to taking just shy of $3,000 out of the funds raised from a car wash fundraiser. It was also discovered that money was missing from a coupon book fundraiser, and from the fees collected from a craft show. Rowell apologized in the complaint, saying “I’m sort that I didn’t set a better example for the girls to follow. I wish that I wouldn’t have done it…”She is now facing two felony and two misdemeanor theft charges. She has been relieved of all duties at the school.
