The driver convicted of being involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident which left a school crossing guard dead is going to prison for 12 years. Terrance Harris was sentenced in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday. He was driving November 10th when 71-year-old Andrew Tyler was hit, suffering severe injuries. Tyler died a month later after the accident near Kluge Elementary School. He had served as a crossing guard for nine years after retiring from the Milwaukee Police Department. Tyler was walking to work about eight blocks from the school when he was hit.
