A 23-year old Manitowoc man has pleaded ‘not’ guilty to charges in ‘3’ local cases, including the recent Kidnapping of a Manitowoc woman from her southside residence. Jamal Rudd the 2nd entered the pleas yesterday after appearing for a preliminary hearing in circuit court. Rudd faces counts of kidnapping, false imprisonment, strangulation & suffocation, burglary & battery. He remains in the Manitowoc County Jail in lieu of 50-thousand dollars cash bond. The local male and a co-defendant, 26-year old Tamario Williams, were arrested on May 4th for allegedly kidnapping the female over stolen property. She managed to escape her captors. Manitowoc police say the victim in ‘that’ crime is a key witness against Rudd in two separate cases surrounding theft, battery, domestic abuse & aiding a felon. Williams is also behind bars after pleading not guilty to three felonies against him earlier this month. The two men have- ‘settlement conferences’ scheduled: Tamario Williams on June 15th and Rudd’s is set for July 27th.
