Commercial flights into and out of Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport were delayed for about an hour-and-a-half Wednesday afternoon. A military aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing when it had an in-flight incident — possibly a lightning strike. The 128th National Guard Air Refueling Wing reports two of the tires on the K-C-135 aircraft blew out during the landing at about 2:30 P-M and they had to be fixed before the plane could be towed off the runway. No injuries were reported. Some flights were diverted.
