A chip seal operation will take place on WIS 32 in Sheboygan County next week. Chip seals consist of a layer of crushed stone placed on top of an application of liquid asphalt to reduce roadway deterioration and prolong the life of the pavement. Maintenance crews will chip seal WIS 32 from WIS 23 to the south village limits of Howards Grove beginning on Monday, closing that section of the highway. Both directions will be detoured onto County Road Y until the operation is completed. Once the highway is reopened, motorists are urged to take extra caution, drive slowly, and allow additional space between vehicles to prevent damage from any loose stone chips.
