The Green Bay Packers are feeling pretty good about their first N-F-L draft under the leadership of general manager Brian Gutenkunst. Head coach Mike McCarthy says the new man was confident, knew the board and knew what he wanted. The Packers had 11 picks, choosing two defensive backs, three wide receivers, two linebackers, an offensive lineman, a defensive lineman, a punter and a long-snapper. Former general manager Ted Thompson was in the draft room, but the show belonged to Gutekunst. It could be two or three years before it’s known if it was a good one or not.
