Chicago outfielder Kyle Schwarber knocked a pitch out of Wrigley Field to give the Cubs a 1-0 victory Thursday night against Milwaukee. It was Schwarber’s seventh home run of the season. The loss ended an eight-game winning streak for the Brewers and made a losing pitcher out of Chase Anderson, who had pitched well. Anderson limited the hard-hitting Cubs lineup to five hits and a walk in seven innings. Anderson spoke about his one mistake.
Kyle Hendricks and two relievers shut out Milwaukee on six hits. Craig Counsell – says the bats haven’t done well versus the Cubs.
Brent Suter looks for his second victory when he starts today’s (Friday’s) 1:20 P-M game.
