The Wisconsin Fire Marshal will help with the investigation of a midday house fire Thursday in Cedarburg. Firefighters entered the burning home and rescued a man who had been seen by witnesses entering the structure. His name hasn’t been released. Authorities say he had to be taken to the hospital for treatment, but the type of injuries and their extent hasn’t been revealed. Firefighters say heavy smoke was coming from both the first and second floors of the house when they drove up.
