Former Green Bay Packer running back, Ahman Green has been sentenced to serve 18 months’ probation after being found guilty of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. The charges stemmed from a fight he had last year with his, at the time 15 year old daughter. Green entered an Alford plea, which is similar to a no-contest plea but maintains his innocence while waiving his right to a trial. He chose to do this to spare his family the “emotional trauma of a trial.” While Green deemed the incident “parental discipline”, Brown County Judge John Zakowski said there is a fine line between discipline and child abuse.
