Many were in attendance last evening at City Hall for the release of Manitowoc’s Downtown Parking analysis. Community Development Director Nicolas Sparacio says the project looked at the area generally from State to Marshall street and from 12th street to the lake. It was revealed that there’s plenty of parking which isn’t properly being utilized.

The study did include an element of projecting future development but did not recommend building a city parking structure at this time. It also emphasizes citizen input from last night’s meeting will be paramount “moving forward.”
