Police are advising people to toss out candy they got at the New London-New Dublin St. Patrick’s Day parade. Some people have reported unusual symptoms after eating the candy. New London Police say they received one report of the person experiencing redness and a numb feeling on their face after eating a Tootsie Roll handed out. Investigators say they haven’t been able to confirm if the symptoms were caused by that candy — or if it was actually tainted. The victim says it had an orange tint, which is unusual. New London Police are hoping parents will turn in candy from the parade so it can be examined.
