A U-S Army veteran is being held in a Wisconsin detention center while he awaits deportation for a 10-year-old drug conviction. Immigration officials decided Miguel Perez Junior will not be granted U-S citizenship retroactive to 2001 — when he joined the military. Perez says he mistakenly thought he became a U-S citizen when he took an oath to protect the country.
