The family of a man shot to death by Racine police in January will have to wait until at least March 19th to learn the results of a state investigation. Twenty-six-year-old Donte Shannon was killed January 17th after he allegedly ran from a traffic stop. Officers say they saw him with a firearm before he was killed. Shannon’s father, Nakia, had told reporters District Attorney Tricia Hanson would decide on whether to file charges by Tuesday of this week. Hanson’s office confirms she is out the rest of the week and won’t be back before Monday.
