Reports started coming in Tuesday afternoon, of a black Toyota hitting several cars on Interstate 41 and failing to stop. Officers with several law enforcement agencies tried to pull the driver over. Stop sticks were deployed, but the driver kept going on flat tires.
When he finally stopped, a breathalyzer test showed his blood-alcohol content reading was nearly double the legal limit. The driver has had two previous OWI convictions. This time he had a 4 year old passenger in the vehicle. If convicted he could spend up to 4 years in prison. His name hasn’t been released. Menomonee Falls Police turned the child over to Child Protective Services.
