The Silver Lake College women’s basketball team got on the bus yesterday and headed for The USCAA National Tournament in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The Lady Lakers (21-&-7)take a 13-game winning streak into the 8-school tourney…which begins on Wednesday. Before the players boarded the bus on campus…Coach Mike Flentje addressed those attending a sendoff rally in the cafeteria.
Hailee Kotche, a junior forward from Manitowoc Lincoln, on the fact that this team was only at the .500 mark…around Christmastime.

Danelle Buck…Kotche and Byrum are team tri-captains. Kotche on the heavy season travel schedule and fact they have ‘6’ Academic All-Americans on the roster.

The Silver Lake-‘Dean’ College contest is due to tip off at 11:00 our time Wednesday morning. The semifinals are on Friday in a 4-to-5-thousand seat arena in Uniontown.
