Manitowoc Lincoln fell behind 36-16 at halftime and eventually dropped a 68-35 decision to DePere in FRCC boys basketball last night. The game was tied at 9-all in the first half when the host Redbirds went on a 13-0 run, to pull away for good. Brayden Broecker Paced the Ships (6-and-16) with 10-points. DePere won the JV game, but Manitowoc captured the freshman contest 48-47, on a three-ball in the waning seconds.
The Ships will begin WIAA Regional tournament play at Waukesha North next Friday night. The Redbirds, who wind up 11-and-11, open the Regional at home against Menomonee Falls.
