On 2/19/18, at approximately 12:20 PM, Sheboygan Police responded to 2316 Mayflower Avenue, in Sheboygan, to assist EMS for an unresponsive female. Responding officers found several citizens along with two juvenile residents, ages six and two, in the front yard. One of the juveniles reported that his mother was sick inside and needed assistance. Officers located the 35 year old female resident deceased in the bathroom. The Sheboygan County Department of Human Services assisted with follow up care for the two children and subsequent placement. The investigation revealed that the death was consistent with a drug overdose. The ensuing investigation conducted with the assistance of the Sheboygan County MEG Unit revealed that a 26 year old female Sheboygan resident had delivered suspected heroin to the victim earlier that morning. A search warrant was served at the suspect’s residence where officers located marijuana as well as a synthetic designer drug, often referred to as ecstasy. The female suspect was placed in the Sheboygan County Detention Center along with her 28 year old boyfriend. Sheboygan Police referred a charge of delivery of heroin on the female suspect and possession of marijuana and MDMA on the male subject to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office. Both subjects were on probation and received probation holds. The investigation is ongoing.
