No charges have been filed yet on the alleged OWI where he blew a .30 nearly four times above the legal limit. Bail conditions on the physical abuse of a child charge include that Jimenez have “no contact” with either of his two children—maintain absolute sobriety and posess no dangerous weapons. An initial appearance is scheduled for next Monday at 2:30.

A 42 year old Manitowoc man was taken into police custody and charged with physical abuse of a child yesterday. The charge stemmed from an incident last week Thursday, where Luis Jimenez and his child had just finished eating at Buffalo Wild Wings.
The child had trouble opening the door to the vehicle, which allegedly made Jimenez angry. He then allegedly punched the child. Later that evening, he was seen by police passed out in his vehicle with the child in the back seat.
After noticing a bruise on the child, the mother reported the incident to police. Jimenez denied ever striking the child, saying the door accidentally hit the child when it was opened. Officers asked if maybe he was too far gone due to the amount alcohol he had consumed that night, but Jimenez said he has full recollection of the incident.
