New Load Limit Posting For County K Bridge

The Manitowoc County Highway Department has ordered effective March 1st the mandatory load posting of 40 tons to the County Highway W in the town of Maple Grove. Highway commissioner Marc Holsen says the load posting effective in both directions is an attempt to eliminate further structural damage. Holsen adds overweight permits for loads exceeding statutory weights maybe issued but the highway department if it’s in their estimation that no damage would be done to the bridge.
