A fire at an apartment complex in De Pere has brought in the assistance of the American Red Cross. The call came in early Sunday morning, and when crews arrived, they found the blaze was on the first floor of the complex in the 500 block of South Ninth Street. The fire was contained to one apartment but smoke was filling seven others. While everyone involved has been reported to be ok, there were six police officers checked for smoke inhalation, and three other people checked for nonlife threatening injuries at a local hospital. The cause of the inferno remains unknown at this time.
