A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house celebrating the completion of a $7 million UW-Manitowoc renovation project will be held on March 7th at 5 pm. County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer says the improvements to the art, science and library spaces on the local campus were made possible through county-state and private donor partnerships.
Demolition began last May and was completed two months ahead of schedule. Ziegelbauer says some classes met in temporary spaces on campus during the fall semester so construction work wouldn’t be impeded.
Besides Mr. Ziegelbauer, remarks are scheduled to be given by UW-System President Ray Cross, UW-Colleges and UW-Extension Chancellor Cathy Sandeen, UW-Colleges Northeast Regional Executive Officer Dean Martin Rudd and UW-Manitowoc Foundation President Laurie Crawford.
