Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Secretary Ray Allen announced a $1.5 Million grant for five Advanced Manufacturing and Information Technology Short Term Training program projects. This massive grant will benefit around 225 trainees, and over a dozen employers. This grant is expected to help develop talent in the manufacturing field which will, in Kleefisch’s words, “keep Wisconsin employers competitive in the US and the global economy.” Allen was also very excited, saying, “”I am honored to join Lt. Governor Kleefisch today to announce these Short-Term Training program grants, which will help workers successfully transition into the workforce and ensure that no talent is left on the sidelines,”
