The annual report from the American Road and Transportation Builders Association finds more than 12-hundred Wisconsin bridges are in poor condition and double that many need some repair work. Fixing all the bridges would cost about two-point-six-billion dollars. Wisconsin is ranked 24th among the 50 stations in the percentage of its bridges which are structurally deficient. Iowa has the biggest problem with aging and deteriorating bridges. Nevada and the District of Columbia have the best bridge systems.
