The state trial for the Janesville man that wrote an anti-government manifesto and went on the run begins today. Joseph Jakubowski is facing charges of burglary while arming himself, theft, and possession of burglary tools in a Rock County Court, and faced a jury yesterday. Jakubowski admitted to a federal court that he took 18 firearms from Armageddon Supplies, then drove to a rural road, where he set his SUV on fire and disappeared. Jakubowski was found 10 days later when he was spotted by a Western Wisconsin landowner 130 miles away from his SUV. Jakubowski told the landowner that he wanted to live “off the grid.”
