As on January 1st, The Sheboygan Fire Department has completed 10 years of paramedic level transportation services to the community. Prior to beginning the transport service, the fire department provided first response only. With the adoption of the fire-based EMS delivery model, the city was able to add capability to the entire Sheboygan County EMS system by increasing the number of paramedic-level trained personnel available at any given time and also provide revenue back to the city to aid in offsetting the cost of fire protection. Congratulations to the Sheboygan Fire Department on their achievement.
