Congresswoman Moore Calls For Investigation Into Lead Program

A Milwaukee congresswoman wants the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to investigate the city’s lead prevention program.  Congresswoman Gwen Moore says the federal health agency should examine how the Milwaukee Health Department used federal funding to protect people from exposure to lead.  A published report earlier this month revealed that department failed to follow up with parents whose children were found to have elevated lead levels in their blood over a three-year period.  Moore wants to know what went wrong.
