Oconto County officials say they are working with state and federal agencies on the temporary closing of the Boulder Lake Campground. It’s being called a public safety issue. Authorities say there is concern about a local property owner who has been identified as a potential threat to the safety of campground users. Officials with the Chequamegon (shuh WAH muh gon) -Nicolet National Forest say the campground is shut down for the 2018 recreation season. No reservations are being accepted and current reservations are canceled, with refunds provided.
