The more than 200 city residents attending a town hall meeting in Racine Monday night call an officer-involved fatal shooting a boiling point. Some say there is a broken trust with the Racine Police Department. The Racine Common Council chambers were filled for the meeting called by Mayor Cory Mason. Racine police say Donte Shannon pointed a gun and aimed it at two Racine police officers before he was shot to death. Members of Shannon’s family say the dead man had 17 bullet wounds on his body. Many residents are demanding that officers wear body cameras.
