A Janesville firefighter suffered minor injuries in a Sunday apartment fire which left five people without a home. The firefighter needed stitches to his arm. Fire crews responded to the location shortly before noon after getting 9-1-1 calls about smoke and fire in the building. The fire apparently started in a first-floor bathroom, but the damage extended from the basement to the second floor. The origin of the fire is still being investigated. The total damage estimate is 100-thousand dollars.
