Crews from ‘12’ area fire departments responded early yesterday to a barn-fire east of Valders. Fire Chief Chris Dallas tells Seehafer News his personnel were called around 5:45am to 5911 Selle (sell’-ee) Road.
Dallas said firefighters from ‘his’ department and mutual aid had a challenge on their hands.
The chief explained that the Springstube’s used the structure as a hobby-barn.
Personnel managed to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby garage. There’s no damage estimate and the cause remains under investigation. Fire fighters remained on the scene until about noon Sunday and were called back this morning for a short time to handle a flareup.
