Barn Fire in Valders

A farming family in Valders suffered major losses as a result of a barn fire yesterday morning. The blaze on Selle Road was reported at around 5:45 AM. The barn was completely destroyed, and multiple animals inside were killed. A total of 20 goats and 6 alpacas perished in the inferno. Crews called Wisconsin Public Service to remove power lines, that were in danger of being damaged. Crews regained control of the fire at around 7:00 AM. Authorities say the fire remains under investigation, but does not appear to be suspicious.
