The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department this morning released details of a three-vehicle crash onIi-43 in the town of Centerville yesterday. Deputy Inspector Jason Orth said 48-year old Kendal Bryant of Milwaukee was operating a van north bound near county line road about 9:45 am when he lost control while changing lanes. The van continued on through the median & into the ‘south’-bound lanes where it collided with two other vehicles. Bryant was extricated by jaws-of-life—and then transported by ambulance for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Also involved in the collision was 49-year old Douglas Gronski of Suamico..who was driving a southbound pickup truck. He and his passenger, 40-year old Ryan Peters from Green Bay, also sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital. 69-year old James Duquaine (due-kane’) of Green Bay was driving an international straight truck and he was taken by ambulance for treatment of ‘minor’ injuries. Orth says all of those involved ‘were wearing shoulder and lap belts.’ Speed and weather conditions appear to be contributing factors to the accident…which remains under investigation by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office. ‘Eight’ other agencies assisted at the scene..and traffic was diverted around the multi-vehicle mishap for over two hours.
