The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office says a 19-year-old man was killed when a bullet struck him in the head when a handgun unexpectedly fired. Sheriff’s officials identified the victim as Brandon Paulson of New Holstein. Investigators say Paulson was with a group of people at a home on County Highway Q on January 13th. They were passing around a revolver. Investigators believe Paulson was handling the gun when it went off striking him in the head. Emergency crews were called to the home at 11:42 P-M. Paulson was airlifted to a local hospital where he died. The incident remains under investigation.
