The Manitowoc Company’s move from its namesake city continues today, with the announcement that they have sold their headquarters, and will relocate to Northeast Milwaukee. Manitowoc will lease approximately 16,000 square feet in One Park Place in the Park Plaza Office Park. The transition of the company headquarters’ employees is expected to be completed by the end of the 1st quarter. Along with the announced move to southeast Wisconsin, the company founded in Manitowoc has agreed to sell its former headquarters at 2400 South 44th Street to Manitowoc based Investors Community Bank. The Sale is expected to be completed by the end of March. The company had earlier moved its ice machine and crane production out of town.
Manitowoc Company President and CEA, Barry Pennypacker said in a statement, “Manitowoc’s origin as a Wisconsin based manufacturer dates to 1902. The state has an impressive roster of global manufacturing businesses, with a top level talent pool, and we are excited about the move of our corporate headquarters.” Pennypacker added, “We believe this location will strategically create easier accessibility for our customers, shareholders, and employees.”
