Bail Set for Manitowoc Man After 5th OWI

Bail was set at $500 cash for a 48- year- old Manitowoc man arrested over the weekend for his fifth OWI. Jesse Madden was arrested on Saturday after police received a call from a concerned citizen who reported a vehicle swerving “all over the road” almost running a red light. An officer eventually pulled Madden over but due to cold temperatures a field sobriety test was administered at Holy Family Memorial. Conditions of bail are that Madden not drive a vehicle without a valid license and maintain absolute sobriety. He remains in the county jail with his initial appearance scheduled for next Monday afternoon at 2:30.
