Winter Weather Outlook

Just when you thought it was safe to put your shovels away, Old Man Winter is rearing his head yet again. Snow is expected to continue today into tonight, resulting in hazardous travel conditions throughout the region. The snow is expected to be heavy at times near Lake Michigan, especially this morning and again tonight. Winter weather advisories are posted for inland areas, where storm totals will generally be in the 3 to 6 inch range. Winter storm warnings are in effect along the lakeshore, where totals of 8 to 12 inches are anticipated through tonight, with higher amounts of 12 to 18 inches in northern Door County. Be sure to give yourself plenty of space when on the road, and as always, use caution.
