As we continue to look like we are living in a snow globe, Manitowoc County crews are hard at work keeping the highways as clean as they can. According to Manitowoc County Highway Commissioner Marc Holsen, there are 24 plows on the interstate highways, and the lakeshore highways, who will continue to stick around until the evening commute is over. At that time the nigh crew will take over until 4:00 AM, which will be followed by a final clean up. While the roads remain slick, Holsen’s crews have been able to keep up in the Western portion of the county, but have been having some issues in the eastern sections. Remember to remain at least 200 feet back from plows to ensure your safety and theirs. Also, give yourself some extra time, and slow down.
