The Wisconsin Department of Justice has been called in to investigate the second officer-involved shooting in Forest County in less than three months. A deputy says he shot and killed the driver of a vehicle after that person pointed a shotgun at him. The driver was wanted on felony warrants out of Texas. Authorities haven’t released the person’s name, age or gender. The deputy is currently on paid administrative leave. In the earlier officer-involved shooting, a Crandon police officer shot a man last October during a traffic stop.
