Wisconsin Rapids Man Charged With Child Sex Crimes

A 42-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man tells investigators he was trying to protect children from sex trafficking when he responded to a Craigslist ad.  Investigators aren’t buying that story.  Jared Teche is accused of arranging to pay 400-dollars to have sex with an eight-year-old girl — before he eventually backed out.  Eau Claire police traced his e-mail address and computer internet protocol addresses to track him down and execute a search warrant.  A search of his home turned up child pornography.  Teche is charged with 11 felonies.
