Eau Claire police say the man sentenced to five years in prison Friday had been burglarizing storage units and residents all over western Wisconsin. Investigators say 36-year-old Travis J. Hagman would break in, take some goods, then sell the items to support his addiction to meth. Hagman is already in prison serving four years for violating a probation order. Police had originally charged him with almost two-dozen break-ins. He apparently had several other thieves working for him on what the prosecutor calls “a large operation.”
