A sentencing hearing for a 25-year-old Missouri man is scheduled for February after reaching agreement on a plea deal this week. The Dane County district attorney agreed to reduce the charge against Marvin Houston in a shooting last April. Houston was originally charged with first-degree attempted homicide for the incident at Madison’s Penn Park. His lawyer has requested a pre-sentencing investigation which could potentially shorten his sentence when it is handed down.
