Madison Mom Admits Leaving Children Unattended While Taking Drugs

A 32-year-old Madison mother admits leaving her three children unattended while she was taking drugs.  Brittany K. Pearson pleaded guilty to four counts of child neglect during a Dane County court appearance Monday.  Four other charges were dropped as a part of her plea agreement.  The children were found without adult supervision while Pearson was overdosing on heroin.  Authorities are still looking for 58-year-old Will E. Weaver who was also charged in the case.
