The Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce has filed a legal brief with the State Supreme Court in support of the use of TIF money for the Confluence Project. The group Voters with Facts is asking the court to review an appeals court decision that ruled in the city’s favor. A lawsuit filed by the group in 2014 was aimed at throwing out the City Council’s decision to use TIF money to help fund the Confluence Project. The arts center is meant to play a critical role in revitalizing downtown Eau Claire.
