Local information from the Wisconsin Relators Association shows both the number of home sales and the median price rose significantly over the first 11 months of 2017 compared to the same period last year. The year to date median price increased 4.7% from $101,900 to $106,700. Home sales in Manitowoc County went up nearly 10%, from 950 to 1042 through November. Statewide, the WRA reported continued tight inventories put upward pressure on prices with the median figure rising to $170,000 last month, about 5.5% higher than the same month a year ago. Existing home sales also rose by 4.2% in the state.
