A young Cleveland man who died in a 2 vehicle cash in the Manitowoc County town of Meeme has been identified as 19 year old Alexander Hanson. Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputies and EMS personnel responded o the collision on West Washington Road, east of Mineral Springs Road, a around 5:30 PM last Saturday Afternoon. Reports indicate Hanson was driving eastbound when his unit collided with a westbound car being operated by 36 year old Allison Koening of Newton. Hanson was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger, 21 year old Bryce Maxey from Rural Cleveland was transported to Sheboygan Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Koening and her 12 year old passenger were both treated at the scene for minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation, and alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors.
